Today marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic Pink Eye mural in Warrington, painted by artist Anthony Turk in 1999.

Towering 110 FT high the Pink Eye mural has been watching over Warrington for the last 20 years.

Anthony aimed to paint a whale mural on the former flour mill but due to planning permission battles with the council, it resulted in the current, iconic, Pink Eye mural.

The mural has gained a lot of local popularity and the majority of people from Warrington and surrounding areas, would consider the Pink Eye as a landmark building. The mural has been assisting Warrington Self Storage with directions for the last 14 years. “Do you know the pink eye building, we are directly underneath it”
